Jacoby sure has a laid back personality, unfortunately we are a little lenient as owners. They are both quick to learn, but unlearning is another story!! I've been thinking about bringing in a trainer for a consult as Jacoby is a leaper (he can get serious "air") which isn't always welcome! Let me know how the pet therapy training goes.
BTW, I noticed in one of your photos one of our favorite toys, aren't those orange balls indestructable!! This time of year, with the snow, we play with the frisbees more than the balls, but in the Spring/Summer they will do anything to have us got out and toss the balls for them. We have two school fields nearby, so if one is in use, often the other isn't.

I am up grading the food they eat. I am still in a middle of serious (LOL) reseach !! Then I found out Charlie loves raw baby carrots!!
She is fed Merrick's Puppy Plate, but now I mix it with some tiny cut up carrots... I may be soon cooking up some food for them....
I sould also look into BARF diet info....

Quick question - does Fergus like to be on top of the couch and/or chair like Jacoby does? The higher he is the happier he is!

Yeah, that whole thing about the rendering really creeped me out.
I never knew anything about it, and never looked up until we got Charlie. My poor 13 year old chow chow was eating garbage dog food for years!!!
Can you imagine they claim their product to be edible for human as well?!

Rufus & Jacoby are great! They visited Camp Bow Wow in Portland yesterday and played for half the day with loads of other dogs. We are planning a ten day vacation in March and have been stressing about where to leave the dogs. Last time we left them for a couple of days at home with a housesitter Jacoby ended up chewing a fairly large hole in the couch :-( Anyway, Camp Bow Wow looked and felt like the right place this time. It's not a typical kennel (which always make me sad) but a well organized place. They have lots of day care dogs, and this week (school vacation) lots of boarders as well. Every dog we saw arrive in the morning was happy & excited to join their pals for a day of fun! Rufus & Jacoby were glad to see us and were very tired boys!
We didn't do anything special for Jacoby on his birthday, except for the ribbon bow I tied on his collar in the morning - didn't last long. Rufus' birthday is tomorrow and he'll get a ribbon too. We really spoil them everyday - I hate to admit it, but it's true.......
