About Me:
My name is Faith. I am a self confessed doodle addict. We absolutely adore our doodles and spend as much time as possible with them.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have two beautiful Tamaruke Multigeneration Australian Labradoodles. Chiko is 8mths old miniature doodle, he is a beautifully natured, very social little puppy, who just loves everyone. He has a gold crimped loose fleece coat and is only 15". And Lacey is our latest addition to the family. She is a 8wk old miniature pup, she has a cream/caramel coat. She is just adorable and we couldn't be happier to have a little sister for Chiko.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We loved the non-shedding coat and the teddy bear look of Labradoodles. But now that we have the puppies we just love how wonderful their temperaments are. They are so active and adventurous and very social. They love to try most things, they absolutely love the water.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We love taking them to the doggy park and to the beach. They love swimming and chasing sticks. They get a lot of attention everywhere they go because they are so cute. But mostly we love curling up on the sofa with them and having cuddle time.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I do
Relationship Status:
Married

Labradoodle Wrestling

Posted on December 1, 2009 at 5:04pm 18 Comments

My two labradoodles love to fight and wrestle. They are only play fighting but they both really snarl at each other. Straight after the game they are best friends again. Usually it means they just have too much energy and need a walk but I was wondering is this type of playing common for labradoodles? Is anyone experienced the same thing?

I was never worried about it until I took the little one to puppy school and she went to play… Continue

I absolutely love having TWO Doodles!

Posted on October 21, 2008 at 3:05pm 13 Comments

I always felt bad when I had to go to work and leave Chiko at home all day by himself. I was always rushing home so that I wouldn't leave him for too long. He is such a people dog and loves to have company. So we thought another dog would be good for him and us (one each to cuddle on the lounge). I absolutely love that we have TWO Labradoodles. We have had Lacey now for nearly 4 weeks and they are getting along so well. They just love each other.… Continue

Hi Faith, How's Lacey and Chiko going. I haven't been on this site in so long. I have just seen your concerns about your 2 fighting. Ours do the same thing you would think they were trying to kill each other, but its all only play. Have you been on the Tamaruke site lately. They have setup a chatsite as well, and Charlotte has arranged a couple of get togethers in Sydney which have been great fun (for both humans and doods). Have a look when you get the chance.

Pebbles is from Spunky and Toledo - shes very cute and already ruling the house. Barney will have to watch out when she is bigger as I think she will run rings around him and she will definitely be boss. Good luck with the puppy school.

Faith - hi there! How's it going with Lacey? Dylan passed is puppy training but still got some areas to work on! However, generally brilliant and growing so fast - same as Lacey? His legs are getting very long, just needs his body to catch up. Wonder how tall they will get? Are you around over Christmas - maybe we can get the two together at last? Amaya

Hi Faith - like Raylene's comment on Barney - Dylan is constantly biting even though I've bought him loads of teething toys. Start puppy training tonight so hopefully they'll give me some tips. Overall, he's fairly good - but like Lacey, he's rather 'wilful' and pushes his luck. He totally abuses his good looks and he knows it. We are being quite strict with him though. He's losing a bit of hair, but only when I brush him. Took him for first swim at Curl Curl on Sunday - hilarious! He went straight in and swam, but then wasn't so sure. Let me know when you're next there and he and Lacey can go in together? Think you said she was swimming already?

Hey Luvvie. Yeah his face is good although I think I might go a little shorter under his jaw as when he lies on the arm of the lounge it is constantly wet as he is drinking heaps because he doesn't stop playing with Fudge. I found that when I cut them first and then bathed them, there was no loose hair flying around or dropping off them inside. Hair is a pain when you are not used to it.

Faith, I put some new photos up of my four legged children. Hey there is one where they are sitting together outside on the pavers. I had cut them and then bathed them. I think I did a pretty good job. It is getting easier and easier. I found the trick is to give them a really good comb and brush before clipping and cutting and then I bath them last. I don't know if that's how everyone else does it or that's how you are supposed to do it, but it works for me.

Hi Faith, I tried to send you a message but think I may have somehow stuffed up so here I go again. Barney is losing a bit of hair at the moment when we brush him but he is going on his first trip to the groomers on Wednesday as his face is all over the place at the moment. We are not game to try and trim him as he doesn't stay still long enough. We're getting accidents in the house too, mainly during the evening as Barney is a very social dog and we can only take him out on the front yard (as the back is down steps and he would fall through the gaps) he keeps wanting to go and visit the neighbours who are all home of an evening. Is Lacey biting lots? Barney has a couple of hours every day when all he wants to do is bite - hands, calves or any other body part he can grab - it is rather annoying. Steve, my husband is home with Barney most of the day so it isn't as though Barney is lacking attention so hopefully he will grow out of it soon.

Hi Faith, I have just found Amaya. It would be good to see if they remember each other. Barney does react differently with Sam's Ollie so maybe there is some sort of recognition. Doodle kisses is fun being able to see everyone's photos and comments

That's great - will be in touch next week. I'm away for the weekend up at Palm Cove and am leaving Dylan and my husband alone for a boys weekend... It will be fun to have Dylan and Lacey and Chicko together to wear themselves out senseless! Amaya
