Please e-mail me (phb333@hughes.net) your phone#, and I will call you for a puppy chat. I have a puppy available and would like to talk further to learn more about you and what it is you are looking for.
Thank you for the compliment and puppy inquiry. I breed for temperament, and this litter reflects that. Mom, Lil Maine Love (Glory), is my sweet shadow. She prefers nothing better than cuddling on my lap or snoozing by my feet. Dad, Yum Yum, could not be more mellow. Both parents came from Australia and epitomize the exceptional ALD breed. Hope that helps.
ALDs hope to be recognized as a breed in the future which is why breeders of ALDs who have either silver or gold certification from the American Labroodle Association sell only neutered and spayed puppies or they are sold on a contract to neuter or spay by 6 months and then the ownership transfers to the new owner. To purchase an intact puppy from one of these breeders you must first become an ALA certified breeder. If you buy a multigen(eration) puppy from one of these breeders you can be fairly certain that it will "breed true". Only the originators of this breed, Tegan Park and Rutland Manor have the authority to breed in a non multigen parent. Visit either of these websites for a wealth of information.
Probably the "breeding a poodle back in" came from F2 goldendoodles and labradoodles. An F1 is an poodle and a lab or a golden mix They often are very different in looks. An F2 is an F1 "bred back" to a poodle and does produce more uniform puppies. ALDs are an "older" breed starting as early as 1984 in Australia and they have developed a standard to breed toward. All that said everyone on this sight loves their particular type of doodle regardless of its parentage. Nearly all of them seem to have excellent temperments.
