What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Roxie is a multi-gen labradoodle born 9/22/07 at Sutter Buttes Labradoodles, daughter of Legend and Cassie. She's the sweetest dog I've ever had and very smart. She loves to go for drives and stay in hotels.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I wanted a poodle mix and when I met a labradoodle in my neighborhood I was SOLD!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We go for one or two long walks every day. We love the park, beach and at home we play with tennis balls off and on all day.

I met with Jennifer at Fancy Feet, but I don't think I'm going to take Bonny there -- she wanted to shave her completely! Heather isn't in San Carlos anymore, but seems to be working out of her house so I didn't get to meet her. I met with Bambi at K9 who didn't think Bonny needed to be shaved, so I'm taking her there tomorrow for bathing to see how much of the matting they can remove. I won't be getting her cut there since the longest cut they can do is 1 1/4 inches with the clipper.

At the dog park today I just got referred to Pawsitively Groomed in Burlingame by a woman with a young Old English Sheepdog -- absolutely beautiful short cut. I took Bonny there and they do scissor cuts! They said she didn't need to be shaved and they'd be able to cut her hair on her back to 1/2 it's current length (to about 3 inches), blend it into her legs and chest and get out the mats.... That way I'll be able to keep ahead of the matting as she grows her adult coat. I have an appointment for Tuesday, so I'll keep you posted. The shop is really clean and has a very calm atmosphere....

At 6:33pm on April 8, 2010, Cheri & Bonny said…: Hi Gary! I was looking for other doodle owners in San Mateo and I found your listing. I noticed that you get your doodle groomed at K9 Social Club. Since my puppy is now 7 months old and is badly in need of grooming, I thought I'd ask you what you think of your groomer. Her hair is now about 5 inches long and looks similar to Roxie's coat. I'm just so worried that she'll get shaved on her first grooming -- I've hear such horror stories!

Any feedback would be great!
