Heather, thank you for the recommendation.  I took a look at their website and the place looks nice.  I'll definately give them a call and see what their policy is about boarding dogs from out of state.  what are their rates?  I didn't see it on the website.

Hi, I live in Northwest Indiana, but will be heading to Livonia, MI in September for my brother's wedding and am looking for a good boarding facility (our usual place is about an hour west of where I live) and was wondering if you have any recommendations.  I am not sure what part of MI you are in, but any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks!
