Jane, my doodles chew/lick their feet, scratch and chew everywhere. Duke always seems to have an ear infection and he ends up with a secondary skin infection from chewing on his skin and then he gets extremely
itchy from that. When that happens he usually gets a steroid shot and goes on antibiotics from anywhere from a week to a month.
I love having two doodles. They are only 3 mo. apart in age so they grew up together. Sheba is a very sweet dog and she is very accepting of most any dog and has befriended almost all of my foster dogs but one. Duke is a little more reserved but is not aggressive. They blend well together. What is Griffey's personality?
Is he comfortable around other dogs? Have you ever looked for a doodle on Petfinder? I have fostered several that were on Petfinder and they were great dogs, and they were 1 to 5 years old.
I see your doodle has some allergy issues. My two doodles are on allergy shots. The shots have helped both of them but Duke is worse than Sheba. I feel so sorry for him.
We are sending warm Holiday Wishes your way! : )
