Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Lighter shedding and allergy problems. And they are too cute!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Too young to do much other than play

And he is sooo big. I really like the big doodles. I'm a breeder (but mostly a doodle lover) and everyone is always asking for the smaller doodles. Look forward to meeting you. We really should try to organize something soon in the Atlanta area.

He got a little bit too big and weighed 94 pounds for awhile but trimmed down when we measured his food more carefully. He only gets about 2 1/2 cups a day. Our 10 month old puppy is eating 4 cups of food a day and has for several months.

There is a group called "Where's the poodle in my Doodle?" F1's can definitely look more Poodle or more Retriever. Like any family the kids can take more after Dad or Mom.. but usually they are a blend of the two. We have an F1b so she's only 25% Retriever -- she definitely looks more like a Poodle but has a loving, easy going temperament and a looser curl, we just got an F1 last weekend and she doesn't look very poodley. Right now her hair is fluffy, long and straight. (I hope she gets a little curl) This young though, it's hard to tell. Doodles coats change MANY times. At least once from 8m-12m, and usually they have 5+ coat changes in their life from what I've read.

I kept a diary of sorts on my page of the girls height and weights, Samantha has a perfect lab body - short legged, barrel chested and at 23" tall she weighs 69lbs which the vet said was a perfect weight for her body type (wish I got that answer from my doctor!). Charli is built like a poodle - over 27" tall, 49 lbs and she is all leg!
