I am 48 years old, married, and have 2 children.
Live in NJ.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have a 4.5 year old male Labradoodle from Rutland manor in Australia. Boomer came over on a flight from Australia when he was 10 weeks old. He adapted very well and now rules the house. He is so loving, and loyal, and I couldnt imagine life without him. He is 45 lbs and still thinks he is a lap dog.I recently adapted a Golden Wheaten. Golden Retriver, Wheaten mix. Jet black. Shia came from a pet shop at the age of 7 mos. She was very frail and afraid of everything. She was very weak and you could feel her ribs. After 2 mos with us, she is the rascal of the family. She eats everything and is clearly a scrappy survivor. She is absolutely beautiful and is trying to win Boomers affection.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I did alot of research looking for a Hypo Allergenic dog breed. After choosing The Rutland Manor, I wass ona waiting list for 9 mos. I explained the type of household and size, color, sex puppy I was looking for. They picked the perfect puppy for us.The price for the dog and air fare was quite pricey but more than worth it. My daughter who has suffrered from Asthma since the age 1.5 has had absolutely no reactions to the dog. My husband and son both suffer from dog allergies and have not been effected by Boomer.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Walks. Both my pups look forward to their walks. They need to have their share of excercise.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I have a mobile grromer come to my house. I have had my dog grromed by several grromers. Most grromers like to groom my dog as if he were a poodle. He is not a poodle, so it is very important that you find someone who has experieince grooming your labradoodle.

Hi Leslie - welcome to Doodle Kisses. My name is Kate and my doodle is Maci and we live in Pompton Plains (we're practically neighbors). I want to invite you to join the group I created on this site called "Jersey Doodles". I created it so that other doodlers could locate/connect with doodles in their area and arrange to have mini-romps, etc. Back in early November a bunch of us got together (I think there was probably a dozen or so doodles) down at Sandy Hook for the day and had a blast. So take the time to join Jersey Doodles so you don't miss out on the fun. Again, welcome to Doodle Kisses.
Welcome to doodlekisses, Leslie I hope you enjoy our community :-) This is a great place to learn, share, brag about your doodle and make friends! We have many fun groups (including one for families of Rutland Manor) and interesting discussions going on all the time, however, BEFORE you get started, PLEASE READ this note to new members: http://doodlekisses.com/notes/Welcome_to_Doodle_Kisses!

HI and Welcome Fellow Jerseyan!
There are 2 groups here in DK that you can join that will give you info on local get togethers (Romps) - Jersey Doodles and East Coast Doodles.
Who is this groomer you use? Samantha is a LD with basically straight to a little wavy hair. I need to get her trimmed and am so afraid of what she come home looking like. I can't wait to the pictures of Boomer.
Welcome again -
