Training Maddi is fun

We recently lost our 12 yr old wheaton terrier Chester to a stroke.
My 21 year old son grew up with his dog and we were all devastated.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Our mini golden doodle is 2 years old her name is Madison and weighs 55 lbs.
Our sweet girl has made our family happy again. She is smart and has changed from a fearful pup from a puppy mill in a kennel to a sweet , loving and playful girl. We have had her since she was 5 mo old. It is amazing how she cheers up the seniors at the nursing home!!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Rescue
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I have allergies so I need a non shedding dog. She was rescued from a puppy mill before she could be used for breeding.
Once we met her we knew she was our dog for good.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Our girl loves to walk at the nature center, play fetch and chew, chew, chew! She loves people and the nursing home lets me bring her in to visit my mom.
The residents are always happy to see her.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- I groom at home.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Kong toys and squeeker balls are indestructible.

Moved to LaPorte Indiana Aug of this year. Maddi is enjoying the adventures in this lake area.

It has been below zero in Chicago Suburbs and my pup can only be outside about 5 minutes to do her numbers.
my husband found a treadmill training video and we tried it out today. Maddi is pretty nervous around new things so we used chicken to get her on it.
she sat down and laid down when it started moving.
hope we have better luck next time! Any tips?

I was reading your profile info and was relating to your story.
We've had our first dog for 14 years and we sadly lost him after health complications... The house felt so empty as well as our hearts...
We then adopted Cooper , an Australian labradoodle, he is bringing a lot of joy into our lives.
