- My first dog (of my own) was a sweet Maltese male that I got when I was 22. I had him for 13 years. Then we got a great Golden Retriever female and she lived for 11 years. Now I am retired, have both knees replaced and I am so ready for another friend in my life! I am hoping to get a goldendoodle in the spring!

Hi, Margaret! I live in Lee's Summit and searched for a puppy recently. Wasn't sure if I wanted a goldendoodle or aus. labradoodle. I got my little Zoey, an ALD from Blessed Day Doodles in Harrisonville. I can't say enough good things about them. There were only 2 in MO that I would consider. Them, and Cherry Blossom Doodles in Lebanon. They were the only breeders that followed all of the "good breeder" rules. This is too much of an investment for chance. Valery was wanting a medium goldendoodle, and only minis were available. Zoey is a medium and expected to be 25-35#. Check out their website. Good luck!
