Married, mom to 2 grown sons. I work part time outside the home.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have a f2b mini goldendoodle. Her name is Riley and she is 21 weeks, 2 days old! Breeder said she will be 20-25lbs. and she is well on her way. She has been a delight. We had to put our 15 1/2 yr. old beloved dog to sleep this past June and it was heartbreaking. I think about our Sophie everyday and miss her terribly. But, Riley who we adopted in August , has brought back so much joy, laughs, and love!!!! She has been a delight to us and all who meet her.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Our other dog was a mixed breed-I wish I could tell you exactly what mix she was-her breeder called her a Teddy and we adored her. She was black with white, no shed and stayed about 20-22 lbs. But, we wanted to choose another breed, as we did not want to compare anything about her to a new pup. She was that wonderful. My husband and his family always had goldens. We had heard wonderful things about this mix and I guess you could say we took a leap of faith and found her. We have been blessed twice now because she is a great puppy, so loving, easy going, plays when she needs to and settles when we need her to. Her breeder, Smeraglia Kennel did a great job and got her off to a tremendous start.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
going for rides in the car, taking her to visit friends, family, walking and especially cuddling and lots of doodle kisses!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
we go to a groomer in our area, however, Riley has not yet had her first haircut.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Les pooch brush #4.

Hi Marilyn, Hopefully Riley will stay healthy. All is well here. We have been battling the winter like so many other people. We are having lots of trouble with leaking roofs. They say we are supposed to get hit with a big storm on Thursday. I am keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't hit us.
I have been walking around my yard and woods with my snowshoes to make paths for the dogs. They enjoy frolicking in the snow and wrestling. They love to wrestle. It looks like they are fighting but they are not.
All is well here. Cooper did very well. Sorry to hear about Riley. My Rylee had one as a pup and I didn't realize it. We figured it out when she was spayed. It took her awhile to become toilet trained because of it. I hope you can get to the bottom of it.
We have been out in the snow quite a bit with these guys. They enjoy it and more to come tonight. I'll be glad to see a thaw and get rid of some of it.
How did you survive the holidays with Riley? Cooper was neutered yesterday. He is doing well. He now weight 23lbs. I don't think he will be as tall as Rylee. She is more active than him and weighs 25 lbs. at 15 months. How big is Riley now?
Sounds like Riley is doing very well. I thought it was funny that the other doodle's name was Cooper. Like me, Rylee and Cooper. We had a good thanksgiving but my Rylee likes to counter surf. Usually it's not too bad but she did steal a piece of turkey. Cooper is still too little and hopefully he won't be the same. He is much more laid back than Rylee. I think maybe it's the type of dog. Rylee is not an english golden doodle and I think that may have something to do with it. But I love them both. Training can be a challenge.
Hope Riley is back to normal now. Hope you had a nice thanksgiving all of you. All is well here. My Rylee was a little rambunctious on thanksgiving with all the company. Counter surfing too. Normally she is ok but I think all the smells were too much for her. Cooper is fine. I do need to get going on some training though.
