We drove the roads and update Peltink.  He didn't have a collar. (Our boxers were playing and one got caught in the other ones collar and did the death roll.  If our old dachshund hadn't did a unique bark, not stranger, not snake but different, and if our son hadn't unrolled Izzy, Maggie would have died.)  Anyway, he was a rescue and it took me two and a half weeks sitting on the floor and hand feeding four times a day before he came to me.  He loved to run the woods and sit waiting for a squirrel to come out of a tree.  If we end up getting a companion dog for Kate I won't get another hunting bread.  Although Kate loves running in the field she stays close.

That is a beautiful doodle. We have a year old labradoodle who just lost her two year old friend, a puggle called Finn. We live in the country and The beagle in him loved to hunt in the woods. He and Kate went out and she came back. I can't imagine he would go with anyone. Kate was forlorn but better now. She is better about staying nearby. In the past the older dogs always taught the new dog boundaries. The beagle got the best of him I'm afraid. Have a good day today. Susan
