Does anyone use artificial turf in the yard where your doodles play and/or do their business? I am interested in knowing what product you used and your feelings about it.  Continue

"Unfortunately I was under the impression that once their adult teeth were in the chewing would subside, but at 6 months it's just as bad as before."

Welcome Sooner Mom! I tried to respond to your post In the group "waiting for new puppies" but I couldn't because Im not a member of the group. I think the reason you didn't get any responses is because most people don't monitor that group after they have their puppy. You will get more responses if you posted on the front page or even in the Puppy Madness group. I can tell you that there are a LOT of people who did not get their Doodles from breeders that do the recommended testing. That is the reason for all the listed recommendations. A lot of people had unnecessary problems that could have been avoided. Of course, you can never avoid everything but its better to be as safe as possible. Would you buy a car that had not had its brakes tested (among other things)? There are a lot of people here that also get rescues. With them you can never know their history but at least you understand that risk going in and you don't have the same hefty price tag of a breeder puppy. I don't know anything about singleton litters but it seems that might be a side effect of not having the testing done to insure good health for the breeding dogs. I wish you the best of luck in your decision making process. When the heart gets involved its never easy.
