- About Me:
- Murphy is under my chair in my office from about 7 am until about 4 (with breaks here and there) He knows when it is quitting time and lets me know it. We call it “Murphy Time”.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Murphy is an F1 English Goldendoodle. He is a medium size standard that weighs 54 lbs. He is a handsome; cream, apricot, frost. (Sounds like a good drink!) He was born on Oct 10, 2007.
He has a very mellow personality and follows me from room to room. His favorite toys are stuffed animals especially the ones that squeak or have voice boxes. He loves his morning and evening walks and I let him stop and sniff to his heart's content.
He doesn't like to be brushed but he will go get in the bathtub on his own if I say its bath time. (That just blows me away!) He is very smart and seems to know many words. I like to talk to him and tell him what's happening. He is not aggressive at all but doesn't seem to be bullied either. I think he is so perfect. I would say he is the best dog that I have ever owned.

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- My first thought when I started researching was that the doodle was so darn cute and they looked so cuddly like a teddy bear. I started reading reviews and forums and loved what I was reading about the temperaments and intelligence.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- I like working on his commands, playing fetch and learning new words. Hiking is very big with us and we like taking him in the boat.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- I do - so far.

Bad Breath - it was a serious health problem

Some of you may remember that I was concerned about Murphy’s bad breath. It smelled so noticeably bad you could smell his breath from across the room. The only way I can describe it is a bad fishy smell. He was also acting like he didn’t feel well. He just didn’t seem to be himself.
