How cute! Murphy is a beautiful doodle. And your gray kitty is very cute. I just put my first video on my page (anyway I hope I did - it was still loading when I saw your video on the side. Didn't know about the "Doodles that LOVE their CATS" group. I might have to join that one.

It has been almost exactly one year since I posted the video above of my doodle, Murphy and his cat, Timmy Parker. At the time Murphy was about 17 mo old and the kitty was about 12 weeks. For the first six months they were always together. The kitty was so young that he tried to nurse and would curl up against Murphy when they slept. Murphy loved the kitty and would clean him and play so gently.

Now days it is much different. The kitty still just loves Murphy. I can tell that Murphy is more important than anyone else. When Murphy is out for a walk the kitty sits near the door waiting for him to come back. Murphy no longer pays any attention what so ever to the kitty. He isn't mean but he doesn't try to play with the kitty anymore. If he does ever try to play the kitty acts like he is in heaven.

I had a collie and cat that were best friends. The cat used to bat at the collie's face and jump on its tail it was so fun to watch.THey kept each other company while I was at work and they were home alone. They were best buds. THey are both since deceased but your video brings back fond memories of them. Now I am married and my husband is allergic to cats so we can't see how our doodle would react but I am still in awe of the whole dog/cat best friend thing.
