What a pretty girl! She looks like T-Boh!
His human dad has helped me by transporting Ripley to the breeder when he was “summoned for duty.”
I live about an hour away from Waltzing Matilda and I work so it isn’t always convenient for me to get him there.
T-Boh and my ‘doodles all go to the same groomer.
I’ve been off of the site for a very long time, so it’s nice to be back.
I live in Maryland and would love to get involved in the ‘doodle community.
Is there a group of Maryland ‘doodle owners? A ‘doodle romp would be awesome!
Thanks for your reply.

I thought I sent three photos but it looks like I can upload only one at a time.
This is my boy Ripley. He is a stud dog for Waltzing Matilda Labradoodles.

Hi Melissa,
I have a ‘doodle’ from Waltzing Matilda. Do you know who sired the litter your puppy was born into? I may have your baby’s daddy. :)
I look forward to your response.

Hi Melissa. Great to hear your finally getting your doodle. So which breeder did you decide on? The Annapolis group is still going strong. As a matter of fact their next romp is tomorrow 6/21/14. Go to their website (www.annapolsareadoodles.com) for details. Unfortunately we can't go to the romps anymore. Our boy Gus has gotten aggressive with other dogs, other than Lilly, the last few years.
I wish my kids could hear you say you were going to call me for advice :) They like to say I know nothing! I tell them all the time I never read one child rearing book and my oldest always says I should have...LOL!! Your son is going to love a dog. It was the best thing ever for my youngest. Good luck. My sister lives in Catonsville, MD!
I would also suggest puppy classes. When our first doodle was in puppy classes I took him the first night, my husband took him the second night, and my son took him the third night. The trainers said every time they saw the dog he had a different person on the leash. It wasn't the best, but the best we could do with our busy schedules. Since then, I have retired and it is easier now for me to be the major person for his behavior classes. I checked your location and there should be classes near enough for you go get your dog and son involved. Nine is pretty young for responsibility for a puppy, but do what you think will work for you. Your son will love this experience and so should both you and the puppy! Enjoy. Reading material? Don't know anything specifically geared to your particular situation.
BTW, ALDs are pretty active dogs and require a lot of time exercising. My ALD is a wrestler and loves to wrestle with anything that will wrestle with him. Hope you are planning for a lot of time outside as your puppy may need that. Take a look at my photos to see all my doodles. Harpo, the taupe-colored smallest doodle is the ALD.
Thanks you : )
Arent you sweet! Thank you for the friend invite. I was thinking of you today. There are several people on DK that came on and waited months for their puppy. Well, we all followed and it seemed to go so fast... for us ~ LOL
Nicky, Riley, and Boris~ oh her wait was forever and she traveled so far. So many have waited ...... but then suddenly it's here!!!
Anyway, I know you will be well prepared for your new puppy. Just like a human baby they burst into your lives and take over and ever thing you learn goes out the door :) They will dictate what they need. It is a wonderful time. Best wishes to you and I look forward to you hanging out with us in the coming months.
