I haven't been on doodlekisses in quite awhile...life has been a bit crazy and since my laptop is not functioning I don't spend much time on the computer. I have a desk top computer in a small office at home but since the dogs don't like to be in there and lay at the entrance looking pitiful I don't go in there much. Hence the subject of this blog.

When I think about the loss of my Shadow (named because she was ALWAYS following me or with me at home) and the things she loved (playing ball at the park for one)...one ofthe things that haunts me is the fact that she died alone at the vet's while I was on vacation. Now I know the loss of a pet is NOTHING compared to the loss of a child...and I don't mean to minimize the trama that the famlies in Connecticut are suffering...but my heart…

I just saw the commercial for the ASPCA again...you know the one...the one with all the sad, pathetic, injured animals looking at the camera. As I sit and look out my window at my doods as they frolic and play in the snow I just don't understand how people can have animals and not feel the nurturing urges and joy that come with caring for a furry family member.  My heart breaks for them as I grab a kleenex...again. Animal Cops also causes this same bewilderment and many times brings on tears…

Sitting here envying my doods and wishing I could be them for awhile...true, relieving myself outisde for everyone to see or greeting others with a smell of the behind would not be much fun...but as they frolic, play, and laze the day away I envy their carefree demeanors. They have complete faith in me as their caretaker and they don't seem to have a care in the world...how much better my days would be if I would stop worrying about all the little things and just enjoy my time like my doods…
