About Me:: I am a mental health therapist who absolutely loves dogs. I currently have a soft coated wheaten terrier and now a sweet 8 month old golden doodle who I plan to use as a theapy dog in my office for my depressed and highly anxious clients. I shopped, researched, etc. for the perfect mini goldendoodle and I found Maggie. Her demeanor and calmness is absolutely perfect but I am slowly getting over the fact that she was sold as a mini and is already 45 pounds. If she wasn't so cute and sweet I would be more upset but I feel now she was meant to be a part of our family.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Kallie -- Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier 12 yrs old.
Maggie - Mini ?? goldendoodle 8 months old

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I've done significant research on which breed would be a good fit for my family and also as an emotional therapy dog. I've hugged and played with a number of doodles and have totally fallen in love with them.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: walk, play, hug, fetch -

Doodle Day of Photos with Santa, Brunch and Romp Sunday Nov. 19th. 2017

After reading all the suggestions from the S. Ca. group Those that want to get a beautiful framed photo with Santa including a group photo for $15 go to Good Neighbor Park, 2800 Studebaker Road, Long Beach at 10 AM. There is NO parking fee for this park. See more information in the reply's below.

Brunch at 12 noon to 1 PM 12430 Seal Beach Blvd.

Meet at tables with umbrellas between the rows of restaurants.

Romp: 1 to 3 PM. Arbor Dog Park. 4665 Lampson between Valley View & Seal Beach Blvd. Long Driveway on the North side of Lampson between Rose and Heather Streets.

All the above can change if the group would prefer another plan. Suggestions welcomed. Check back here before heading out next Sunday.

After reading all the suggestions from the S. Ca. group I propose we go to El Dorado Park for a photo with Santa at 10:30 AM as Gwyn & Ro suggests. Brunch at 12 noon (usual place) then on to Arbor Dog Park at 1 PM.

There is a fund raiser at El Dorado Dog Park for the dog park on November 19th. You can get your dog or humans photo with Santa. One of our members, a professional photographer, will be taking the photos. I'm not sure the cost of the photos yet. It costs $7.00 to enter the park (which is one reason we don't use this park for our romps, but to help a park AND get a Santa photo is very cool. It looks like we are going to meet about 10:30 for the Santa pictures, then those who want can meet for lunch. This is still in the planning stages. The doodle rescue that I volunteer with actually has a young wheaten available for adoption. She is being fostered in Las Vegas. :-}
