About Me:

I live in West Virginia on the Tygart Valley River with my husband. I am a retired Santa Claus dollmaker. I started developing a loss of feeling in my fingers which made the detail work very hard to do and unfortunately had to give up my profession. I feel very blessed to have been able to do what I loved and make a living at it! My husband is semi-retired so we have a lot of time to spend at home with our furbabies.

I've always owned Labrador Retrievers but I've wanted a Doodle for years. When we got our last Lab we had plans to get him a Doodle playmate but although he loved all dogs that would visit us (somehow he knew they were going back to their own homes), he got very depressed when we brought a rescue to live with us, so much so, we couldn't keep the rescue. He liked being the only child. After he passed away from a long battle with cancer, we decided to get a Doodle and another Lab, they are closer together in age, being only a month apart. Our original plan was to get a Labradoodle until I met a Goldendoodle who I fell in love with and who's mom was just getting ready to give birth to another litter. The timing was perfect & I feel it was just meant to be.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I liked the looks and personality of the doodles I have met over the years and thought it was a great combination of two wonderful breeds. Although I settled on a Goldendoodle, I love Labradoodles too!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

My doodle is still a puppy, so at this point everything is a favorite thing! Well except the potty training, that I could live without. lol

Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

For the time being, I'm grooming my own doodle.
