What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have a goldendoodle, however, most people say he looks more like a golden retriever collie or australian shephard mix. Supposedly he was bred with a golden retriever and a parti poodle. His name is Maverick. He sheds so much, but he's so darn cute!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I grew up with maltese pooodles and we wanted a dog that didn't shed. My husband wanted a little bigger dog, so I thought a golden doodle would be perfect. The downside is that he sheds like crazy!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We play fetch with him. I love to go on walks and runs, so I plan on having him do that with me.

Did the breeder have lots of other studs or other breeds that could have accidentally impregnated his mom? Some goldendoodles (and labradoodles) can come out looking VERY much like only the retreiver breed. It's part of the luck of the draw when you get a mix. Usually you can tell from a puppy's photos at the breeder which will be more like a retriever in looks because their hair is much shorter and resembles that of a retriever more. His ears are not at all like the poodle's longer ears...that's one clue and hardly any face hair. He's still a cutie. Is your pup from a well known breeder, do you know?
