About Me:: I am a special ed teacher here in Edison. I have 3 children and 2 stepchildren. (one in high school, two in college, and two out of college and on their own.) I used to have a schnauzer for 13 years and he passed away a year ago. I have heard so much about goldendoodles, that we decided to get one. Never did we expect him to get so big, but we love him anyway!!!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have Jake, a Goldendoodle, who will be a year old in Jan. 2009. We also have Sparky the cat, who is still not too sure about Jake.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We wanted a friendly and smart, family dog that would shed very little. We have heard only good things about doodles. Ours does shed a bit but probably not as much as a retriever would.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Play fetch with him, take him for walks, and watch him swim.

Samantha and I live in Short Hills. Check out the East Coast and Jersey Doodle Groups. Great place to watch for dates to get together for a Doodle Romp. Samantha and I go to the South Mountain dog park - a great dog park and now have 14 acreas of woods enclosed for dogs to run in off leash. We go most days that the weather permits - if you ever want to meet, just send me a message.
