My husband and I and two girls LOVE our Goldendoodle, Mindy. We searched and searched for just the right dog. I had many dogs throughout my life (some better than others) and I wanted the addition to our family to be a positive experience. My husband wanted a larger dog. I didn't want more housekeeping, so non-shedding was good for me! After MANY hours of searching (I am the brunt of jokes for my OCD puppy searching) we learned that Mindy was at the OSPCA! My husband went to check her out on a break from work and called me immediately to come have a look. There was NO turning back. I arranged to spend the next day with her and then Mindy and I went to pick up the girls at school - a dream come true moment for them!!!!!

Where did you get your doodle(s)?

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
They are CUTE and SWEET!!!!!!! They are also kind and gentle and fun and eager to please. I could go on and on...
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We take her everywhere and always have positive comments on her looks and temperment. We LOVE to go to the dog park (and sometimes meet new doodles!!!)
Did you meet the puppy at the dog park? We usually go to the dog park on Sunday nights with Neely. My son plays ball and his girlfriend usually goes with him early so as to take Neely for fun and we come to watch later closer to game time.
Thanks for the welcome !! It is obvious that we all love our Doodles. You have a female version of my Ricky. I'm just getting into this site and I think I will enjoy it very much.
Hi, I am fairly new to this site and just learning how to use it. Mindy is sooo beautiful and she looks big in the photos. Our Thomas is 17 weeks old now and weighs about 30 lbs. I notice that you live in Stratford, Ont- we live in Toronto but the breeder was in St Jacob's-on a mennonite farm. ( Kind of near you) I was just wondering how old she is and how much she weighs now. Our little/HUGE puppy was supposed to weigh around 50 lbs. adult weight. I don't think so!! We are now going thru jumping up and puppy biting but we are now able to dodge the painful contact he can make using the commands he and I have learned at puppy obedience school. He really likes to jump up at the kitchen counter while I'm making dinner. He gets down immediately when I tell him to "leave it" but then jumps up again. I'm afraid he is going to steal the food!! Already at 17 weeks his paws reach right on top of the countertop. Not used to this-we had a wheaton terrior that passed away in October and he never did this or else he just could not reach the counter. Any advice???
Hello, Thank you for the welcome. I am having a great time! The one thing that makes me sad is to see all the rescue dogs needing homes. I wish I could have them all.Have a great evening, Kathy
Thanks for your kind comments. Our rescue experience has been such a wonderful one. We can't imagine life without Lily, Zeke especially loves her so much. Just last night I observed them lying close together with Zeke's head across Lily's back. (such a cute sight!)
