Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Once I saw her, how coudl I not choose her?

I couldn't believe that someone would turn her in to the shelter myself! I didn't *NEED* another dog (we also have a 14 year old German Shepard - Golden mix and a 12 year old Golden Retriever), but I saw her sweet face on the twitter feed of our local SPCA and I knew I had to get her!

According to them, the previous owners had her in an apartment with other dogs and couldn't keep her. We got her at 5 or 6 months old, and tried to crate her, but she was having none of that. Her only fault (besides chewing everything she could get her mouth on) is that she has that super high pitched excited bark. Luckily as she's gotten older she saves that for car rides to the dog park, and if she's inside the house and we are outside.

We're taking her on her longest car ride ever, 8 hours, and I'm hoping that will break her of the excited barking. At some point she has to get bored, right??? :)
