- About Me:
- A new doodle owner. Actually, this is my first dog ever! My husband and I drove 5 hours one way after the Labor day weekend to Ohio to pick up our adorable doodle.
I like cooking, hiking, camping, traveling and discovering new things, and having tea! I may never be a wine connoisseur, but I could be a tea connoisseur! I enjoy the waiting time while steeping tea :)
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Chamo is a labradoodle. He's a third generation doodle. Though not for sure, we believe he has more poodle in him than lab. He has soft wooly/curly cream/apricot hair. He's everything we could ask for and even more!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Rescue
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- My husband and I stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in March 2011. There we met this wonderful, beautiful dog----and we fell in love with doodles. We've done extensive search since then to make sure a doodle fits to our lifestyle and personality. Doodles are smart and trainable, moderately active, and so sweet and playful. Chamo has proven to meet all the descriptions. It's true that I've found the ad for Chamo online because he was a doodle, but honestly, I chose him because I saw something in his eyes and presence the moment I saw his photos, which never happened to me before. My husband was instantly drawn to him as well. It's probably not the "proper" way of choosing a dog, but in our case, we went with our guts and it is working so well for all of us!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Play fetch with branches and squeekies. Go for a long walk through nature trails. Take a nap. Get on the swing on our porch and watch the world go by. Take pictures of him.
We haven't had a chance yet, but we'd also like to:
take a road trip, camp out, go to the lake, and go bicycling
