What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Alex is our Doodle, he came from Gemstone Labradoodles.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: My youngest son has allergies and asthma. Both of my boys have wanted to get a dog for a very long time, but with Kole (the youngest) being so allergic, we never gave it much thought, that was until he asked for a remote control dog for Christmas. It was at that time my husband and I started to look into hypoallergenic dogs.
A friend of yours was the one how mentioned the Labradoodle, he had heard that they were hypoallergenic and low to no shedding. When I first started to research these dogs it was overwhelming, I had no idea what a F1, F2 or multi gen was, or what was going to work for us, if any.
That is why it is essential that people talk to breeders and ask questions. When I found Barb with Gemstone Labradoodles she was so informative, she was able to answer my questions and concerns, as well as explain the differences in the breeds. After many conversations she recommend the Australian Labradoodle. With talking to Barb, and reading up on them we decided that this dogs could work for us. So when we found out that Barb still had pups available we jumped at the chance, and have never looked back. We couldn't imagine life without Alex. Thanks Barb

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: My favourite thing, is to watch Alex try to creep into my husbands lazyboy to cuddle Dad. He thinks he a lap dog, but really he's a big standard boy, so its quite comical, but he loves to cuddle any chance he gets.

I will be getting a boy from Amber and Hugo at Gemstones and am curious if your gorgeous guy is related? We get him at the end of the month, very exciting.
