It's all about me and my dog.....who could be happier than someone with a dog that loves to kiss and cuddle? I am Doc's mom. He is the resident Sage and All Knowing Doodle. He sees the world and understands it. He passes on his knowledge to all who are willing to listen. He is a very special doodle indeed.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Doc is a Labradoodle...F1, chocolate with long wavy fur that sheds. We also have Meggie, who is a Doxie/Aussie Shep mix and is as affectionate as Doc is. The two dogs allow us to live with them. They have trained us well. I come when called.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
After loosing 4 pure bred dogs all whom died too young from illnesses and cancer I decided to look for a dog with the 'hybrid vigor' that might give us a long relationship.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Hug, cuddle, and kiss
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Yes!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I do with occasional visits to the groomers
Favorite Doodle Products?
Squeeky balls and balls of all types. I love the Old Mother Hubbard Meaties as treats and training treats.
Good Morning,
Just checking in to see how you are doing? Things here are the same, just looking a little brighter now that the 3 weeks of rain has stopped. We actually spent 3 hours on the beach Saturday morning - I mean, Samantha spent 3 hours playing ball on the beach. No relaxing for me.but I think I just smiled for the 3 hours watching her have so much fun!

HI...I got the Smilebox address and the picnik address and several others from this site. If you see one on someone elses page at the bottom it will say what company it is and usually it is a link..if you click on it, it will take you to the site that does that particular application and they will give you steps to complete whatever application they have..I did not know how to do ANYTHING but download my pictures to my computer until I got on this site...it has been fun to learn, mostly by trial and error...so keep on trying!! and....yeah I know that Doc looks like Coco, or visa versa, and also Adrianne's Samantha...fun to see how many look so much alike...LOVE these Doodle's!!
Everytime I look at Doc's pictures, I swear they are Samantha's. and at my age, it is very unnerving not to remember that background scenery! Very interesting how Choclates seem to look so much alike!
I am sooo sorry that all that you have been through has failed you!
I have a suggestion IF it works for you - since you are basically housebound, you should have your doctor call a referral in for a PT for an assessment of your home. Maybe they will then find you a chair that is appropriate for your needs. I think I may have told you that we own a Home Health Care Agency here in NJ. The insurance companies allow us to do assessments in the home and then it is determined if the patient requires services in the home. You may not need the PT weekly services but an assessment of your home may help you get the equipment at home that could help you. - Just a idea
Your doodle looks just like mine... well, apart from the fact that yours apparently weights 50lb more than mine!! Adrianne thinks that Hartley (my boy) is her Samantha's long lost twin!!
I am truly sorry that you have gone through what you did and still are! Marissa, DD, started yoga with trainer who has had the same back issues. She was started with very basic stretches which allowed her to increase what she can do. Little by little. We actually went to have manicures and lunch Saturday before she had to go home to stretch and rest.
That was a major victory! I am sure that you went through PT but did they have you do yoga with a someone who is trained to work with a back like yours?
Samantha was 'rescued' from a pet store. The only thing I know is that she came from South Dakota from a BYB. We are lucky she has no health issues and must have been socialized because she is a fantastic Doodle with no social issues either.
All of this computer stuff has been trial, error and lots of frustration for me also. But with my kids out of the house I have the time after dinner to play with it.
I hope you have a lovely day - off to the showers for work,
Adrianne
