- About Me:
- Hello Everyone! I am currently attending college and will graduate in December of this year with my bachelors degree in Business/Accounting with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In addition I also work full time for my family's business. It is Heritage Goodhew Enterprises, Inc. located here in East-Central Indiana. We specialize in standing seam metal roofing. I am still undecided as to what I actually want to do upon graduation. I am also the proud "mother" of an 8 month Goldendoodle. I have wanted a Goldendoodle for about 2.5 years and I kept asking my boyfriend of nearly three years if we could get one. To which he would respond "no, we will get one when its better timing." Finally, after a year of waiting, this past Christmas of 2012 my boyfriend surprised me with our newest family member, Rory! He has become like a child to us!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have an 8 month male Standard Goldendoodle. His name is Rory! I chose his name because my boyfriend always makes me suffer through watching golf, so as he would always root for Tiger Woods, I would make an appoint to root for Rory Mcllroy! Thus, his name is Rory! :) He has been really pretty easy to train. Potty training was a breeze, as was teaching "fetch, sit, shake, & lay down." He, however, cannot seem to catch on to not jumping on people! This has been a task within itself. He gets so excited when someone comes over that he forgets his manners. He is now enrolled in some obedience classes so hopefully that helps. We also had a problem with him destroying things when we would leave him, as a result he is now in a crate when we have to leave.

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I have allergies yet wanted a big dog. At my moms we have yorkies and I came across this breed and instantly fell in love. I actually came across this breed when I worked at my previous job as a Bank Teller. A lady came through with a beautiful Goldendoodle to which I fell in love with and knew instantly it was what I wanted!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Although Rory is not much into cuddling, I love to cuddle with him...when he allows that is. (; We also play fetch, go to the local dog park, go on bike rides, and walks! It takes a lot of exercise to tire him out.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- He goes to "doggy daycare" to get groomed. He has only been once so far.

Thank you, Victoria! I have finally decided on a breeder, but was just wondering about locals. Good luck with Rory and his biting and nipping. He sounds like a wonderful doodle, and I'm sure you can get him through this phase.
