About Me:
I retired in January 2016, and after 39 years working in corporate Human Resources, I'm finally free to fully entertain my naturally inclined right brain and now have the time to devote to a Doodle. I fell in love with English Goldendoodles years ago and decided that once I retired, I'd get one.

Zentangle is a very accessible, easy to learn art form and it would be my pleasure to introduce it to you.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Female English Goldendoodle arrived July 14, 2016. Breeder is Hug-a-Bear. Puppy Name TBD
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Feel in love with their look, particularly the white English. Also low(er) shed, smart and easily trained.
Relationship Status:
Single

HI Connie,

Yes, we did meet Colleen. We recently lost our almost 8yr old Goldendoodle to Hemangiosarcoma :(...he was diagnosed on a Monday and passed that Friday. We are absolutely heartbroken and still in shock. We have an 11yr old daughter that has been having such a difficult time with losing our Bailey that we decided bringing a new puppy home would probably be the best thing for us all. I did some research and have found that the English Golden doodles tend to be healthier dogs and have a lesser chance of getting Cancer and other ailments. I had posted on Facebook asking for a reputable breeder of the English Doodles and I had many responses telling me to contact Hug a Bear. Within 2 min of me leaving Colleen a message, she returned my call. We set up a time that very evening to go visit the pups. (They were 1week and 2 weeks.) Colleen was wonderful, I can't say enough great things about her. Her home was beautiful, spotless and her dogs are treated like royalty :). We met the parent dogs as well and they were so sweet, well mannered, and wonderful dispositions. I think we were there for almost 2hrs. Colleen answered every single question we had and let us hold the puppies. The puppies look so healthy and adorable. We are going to visit again on Thursday. I know Colleen sends out pics every Monday, but I would be more than happy to forward all of our pics as well. Just let me know. Also, rest easy knowing they are in fact coming from a great home. That was so important to us...our last dog (even though he was the best dog we have ever had) he came from a less than great home and we later found out that his breeder was arrested for a multitude of horrendous crimes against dogs and their puppies. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Congrats on your soon to be fur baby ♡. Hope we can keep in touch.
