Bandit hones his skills.

Yesterday was most likely the last day to don a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. After taking a vote it was decided to head to the Delaware River and spend some quality time digging holes in the sand and romping!

How appropriate, to have our fuzzbutts blessed at Saint Bernard's church. Of course Bandit HAD to get up on stage and show off.

One of our newest volunteers (11 years old) noticed all the people gathering around Bandit. She suggested we move our donation jug next to Bandit. Soon the dollar (and many fives) bills started dropping in the jug at a remarkable rate. I also did a quick calculation. Poor Bandit has a inflamed paw. He is on antibiotics and Benadryl. I thought maybe a boat ride and a beach romp would cheer him up. He enjoyed the ride but took a rain check on the romping.

I have found that Bandit can stop traffic and gather a crowd so I make good use of him in front of our rescue's tent. We have been to many "festivals" in the last 20 months ranging from a couple of hundred people to thousands of people. Last weekend was interesting to say the least. Since it was our first Pirate's Day I had no idea they had a REAL cannon firing blanks every half hour. ( and neither did many others) When the first BOOM occurred several… Continue

This Labor Day weekend was a blast! Bandit was the only Doodle but all the hundreds of Goldens welcomed him. This year's theme was Pirates.
