Dear Friends,

Tonight it saddens me to tell you about the loss of our dog Charlie, the party mix cocker spaniel we've had for 15 years.

We had to have Charlie euthanized. He was getting sickly with his congestive heart failure that was manageable, but then he wanted to go for a romp and was running and playing, so we took him to dad's, and there his back legs kept giving out, and he was losing his balance, and his legs would kick out suddenly behind him. This is a link for watching part of Malibu's therapy sessions last week. By the end of the hour or so, there were a dozen people playing with her. Last night after I got home from work, my niece Becky and I took Malibu to our community park where we usually use the chuck it and throw tennis ball's for her. She is a little ball obsessed, (Mali, not Becky) so we changed things up and went to the kiddie area and tried to teach her to go down slides. Mind you this is 8:30 at night and a little dark. So in the photo show you will see some new friends Mali has made at a Seniors Assisted living facility. This was her second visit and we finally brought out the infamous tennis ball and it was all uphill from there. Everyone was waiting for their turn to throw the ball and Malibu faithfully brought it back to every person, and then with some direction I would show her who to bring it to next so everyone could have their chance to play.
