Jerry and I decided Lucy is just like a new baby - no sleep and lots of photos
Daily walks - We have a stack of sticks beside the front door. Lucy picks up a stick and proudly carries it during her entire walk.
Meeting a new friend - We introduced Lucy to very large Doodle down the street. After a bit of sniffing and roughhousing, they were fine. Tucker has Lyme disease so we are very careful to check for ticks. We live in the country.
The car wash - Jerry started to wash my car and Lucy caught sight of the hose and had a great time chasing the water. She got drenched. Will post pictures when I download them.
First bath - I adorned my fashionable Hefty trash bag with the trendy drawstring ties, covered the entire bathroom with towells, and put the water dish diving Lucy in. She loved it, behaved in a ladylike manner, and had a great time. A few days later, Jerry found her standing in the tub waiting for water.
Crate training - couldn't be better, it's her bed at night
Potty training - pretty good, still a work in progress, only a few mistakes
New trick - Shake, she already knew how to sit
First dinner guests - Good friends came for dinner and cards. Lucy was a superb hostess. After initial excitement for the new toys she thought I brought into the house for her , she was very polite. We were so proud of her.
Appointments- Vet, trainer, and groomer(her eyebrows look like Andy Rooney)
Gardening - Lucy helped me clean out the garden. After she stole all my gardening tools, I got he her own.
Toys - I bought all the cutesy toys only to find out that she wanted the old electolux wand, the broom( sweeping has become very difficult) a rubber hose, and anything else she can steal.
It has been a wonderful experience, we love her very much...Sharon
