So...we're going to adopt a goldendoodle!

My husband and I met our first goldendoodle almost 7 years ago while we were at a local park in Florida. We fell in love immediately and have been impatiently counting down the days until we could add one to our own family. After recently moving to Maryland, we decided to check out some local breeders in the area. Amazingly (seriously, it was totally a sign!), while I was walking our 7 year old chihuahua (Chloe) the other day, I ran into a goldendoodle and her owner. I was ecstatic when I saw them walking together, and of course I asked them tons of questions. He told me the name of his breeder (Glen Eden in Berryville, Virginia- http://www.labradoodles.com) and couldn't say enough about how great they were...so, the rest is history! We just handed over our deposit for one of their upcoming litters of F1 goldendoodles (the mom is a Golden retriever and the dad is an apricot standard poodle)!!! We cannot WAIT!

While my husband originally wanted to "surprise" me with a pup, he decided it would be more fun to choose together, so I don't have an exact DAY of when Oliver will be joining us...but my husband does and he's not letting me know until the day of!!! All I know is that we'll be getting him in November, and I'm going to come home one day and get a, "Surprise! We're going to pick up the puppy!" from my husband. Which is pretty exciting! :) (I can't believe he's been able to hold out on me this long, usually we're both SO bad at surprising the other because we can't keep our own excitement in!)

So, basically I'll be sitting on pins and needles, anxiously awaiting our furry friend for the next 2 months! It's going to be difficult! Needless to say, we've been planning like crazy and buying lots of puppy stuff that have been recommended for new puppy owners.

Can't wait to meet new friends on here so we can watch our puppies grow up together on doodlekisses! :)
