[NOTE: This post is now older and many of these dogs may already have been adopted. If you want to rescue a doodle check with IDOG.biz and poomixrescue.com]

Was looking around petfinder and found three really pretty doodles in the Pacific Northwest. For those of you around here, if you know of anyone looking for an adult dog...these three are beautiful! Some require experienced handling, but otherwise seem awesome! All listed on petfinder if you search for "Poodle" and a location near Oregon you'll run across these sweeties--otherwise I've listed a link.

First Abigail:

Also, those 6 week old doodles are most certainly a puppy mill, not a rescue. Reputable rescues would never adopt them out at 6 weeks. In Ca. it is against the law. I don't know about that state, but I would recomend an immediate call to your local animal control. They did a huge raid on one here & saved a lot of dogs &puppies after I visited them & reported them. PUppy love from Joy & furry folk

HI, If they are in rescue, they will find a home. No risk of being killed. However if they are in a shelter, especially L.A. they kill them just because they don't want to groom them. I do schnoodle, doodle, poodle hybrid, schnauzer rescue for the county of San Diego. If there is a doodle in danger of being killed & they can be brought to San Diego, I will take them. I have forever homes waiting for them. I don't drive long distances. But maybe a doodle train could be arranged? Puppy love from Joy & furry folk caringpro@yahoo.com

IDOG does know as of today. What Beth of IDOG has advised is actually to NOT post Craig's list doodles, actually and instead just email rescue@IDOG.biz when we notice such things. 6 weeks is awfully young to be adopting them out which is what it sounds like this "rescue" (or breeder) is doing. I've written a note to the seller to kindly mention the benefits of keeping this litter till 8 weeks if possible for best development of doggy manners, etc.

I heard! A few people I've seen post about this suspect it is a breeder...considering that 6 week old puppies don't typically need "rehoming" as the ad states. But ya never know...maybe it is a rescue person.
