48 hours of driving

Thats how long it took us to drive from Surrey, British Columbia to Echo Bay, Ontario.

 

We left at 5am Friday after no sleep and drove through to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, arriving at 2am Saturday. DH has a friend there so we stayed at his house, and got a good sleep. Cooper got a good romp in the yard. Left at 5pm Saturday, and drove all the way to Sault Ste Marie, arriving at the inlaws at about midnight Sunday/Monday.

 

Im NEVER doing that drive again - or at least not with 3 cats and a big dog, and a car full to the roof with things. The animals were all really good, but still....  DH will be updating his blog over the next few days, adding photos, and im sure I will make another blog on DK with some photos next week, but for now I just wanted to let you all know we made it!

First of all, congratulations!

I would like to read the details of your drive and the moving process. We are moving in 1-2 weeks to a new house and also we are going to drive from South California to the north of Washington state for Christmas-New Year's vacations. It's 24 hours drive non-stop one way. I am wondering how to survive and to enjoy our vacations. :)
