A dog? Or a Christmas tree? Too many tags...

Okay, yesterday Ruby got her City of Boulder license tag and her rabies tag. I put them on her collar with her Ruby identification tag. She looks like a Christmas tree. The Rabies tag is bright green and shaped like a bell, her Ruby name tag is red and the Boulder license is silver. We still have to get our City of Boulder Open Space tag...a blue tag. She can reach the city license tag and is chewing on it. They make a racket [she could be in a band]. I know she'll get used to them but wow--what do people with little dogs do?

I put all the information on one tag - etched on both sides.  I have the license number on the tag - if the dog has a license it has to have been immunized against rabies.  When I have had to show proof of immunization, I show the tag and so far, it has been accepted.

I have the dog's name (with our last name), then license number, then city and state, my first name and phone, my dh name and phone (including area code) all on one side.  On the other side we have VET and his number, AVID (our chip company) and  the phone number, and the word Microchipped.  We do NOT have the microchip number listed as this might make it easier for a thief to re-register my dog if it was stolen.  One plastic tag - quietness! We get ours from LuckyPet Tags.

We put those rubbery things around the tags, you can buy them at the pet store where they make those instant type tags.

OH my! What a cute little baby!! Tara only wears an I.D. tag and a rabies tag and I got the I.D. tag in plastic so it doesn't bang against the metal tag. I wish they made mini tags for little dogs!

I don't know what people with small dogs do about the tags but just wanted to say Libbie is too stinking cute.  : )

She is really cute!  Libby's tags made a lot of noise too, but I liked it, especially when I was looking for her! LOL
