A DOODLE MOM’S BIRTHDAY

On this day (Aug 1st) a few decades ago, Gladys & Harold were the proud owners (Oops) “parents”of a little baby girl…

The stories I’ve heard describe me as “cute” and “quiet”…

Even though I write about my Mother a great deal, I was – without a doubt, a “daddy’s girl”...

I have heard people say that on your birthday, you should spend a portion of the day reflecting on your life. Some say you should “examine” where you’ve been and map out what is it you’d still like to accomplish.

While I shan’t bore you with my “bucket list” allow me to say; when I look back over this past year, I feel blessed beyond measure, richer from having received things more precious than gold, and gratified everyday.

Now don’t get it twisted! Yes there are truck loads of things I would like to own, and a laundry list that could stretch across this globe, of places I’d love to go. The truth of the matter is this: I amdoodle*liciously honoured to be living my life right now.

Here’s why:

Everyday, no matter where I go, I get to watch peoples faces “light up” when they catch a glimpse of The Boys…

It doesn’t matter where. A shopping plaza, gas station, or my furrorite neighborhood coffee shop…

Most times people want to absorb all the kisses, licks, and ruv they can from Harley…

While others “successfully” conquer their life long fear of dogs by sitting close to Leo…

There are those who want a photo taken with them…

And lil’ people are always intrigued and can’t seem to get enough of them…

Folks have told me a hug from Leo can make any horrible day better…

And I can’t furget our furrends who love to hang out with them, but return them back to me to do the feeding, walks, and poop scoops!…

I never thought by loving two adorable creatures like Harley & Leo that they in turn would “pay it furrward” and share their love with so many.

So to everyone out there that’s hugged, petted, cuddled, or enjoyed reading about my twofurbabies – thanks for giving me something to reflect on this past year. Today I’m walking around with the silliest smile on my face!

I’ve got cupcakes from DH, and trust me, they are even BETTER than they look…

And best of all, I’ve got two doods that ruv me and keep me smiling…

I have become so much more "out going" with The Boys in my life. It's amazing how many new and wonderful people I've met just because of them! I had a doodle*licious birthday, and I thank you so much for your kind wishes.

Happy Birthday Cathy.  I know just how you feel about how lucky and loved you feel by having your Doodles.  I too feel the same way and when we go on walks or shopping, she just brings a smile to everyone's face.  It makes me so happy that I walk around with MY tail wagging!!  lol...I know you had a great birthday after your great blog!
