A Goodbye to my Best Friend Buddy

It has taken me 4 months to be able to post on DK of Buddy's passing.  It came quick, and I know he didn't want to go.  He had things to do and Nosework trials planned.  This was the only way I could handle him leaving me, no lingering illness, just fun and play all the way to the end of his splendid 13 years of Life.  There will never be another dog like him in my life, and I cherish each and every memory I have of him, especially the sassy ones :)  Thank you to all my friends for loving him too...

I just saw your post Gina.  I am so sorry for the loss of your handsome boy.  He was one of the first doodles I saw on DK when we Charlie Brown & I joined years ago.  Buddy was an amazing boy and I felt he was your "heart dog" by the way you spoke of him.  It is so heartbreaking to see so many are passing over the Rainbow bridge. What wonderful memories you made together and may that help to heal your broken heart.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.   It is so heartbreaking. I don't have any experience with losing a pet yet. I just know that I try to tell myself that I make every day as good as possible for him.   I pray you find comfort in all the great memories you had.

I'm so sorry I didn't see this blog until tonight, Gina. 
Buddy was such a special dog. I am sorry I never got to meet him. Even though they looked nothing alike, there was a quality in him that always reminded me of JD. I am so sorry for your loss. 
As I said in your other discussion, our guys are part of one heck of an amazing pack up at the Rainbow Bridge. :)

Tears and hugs for you.  Buddy will always be in your heart.  Please do not think that you cannot bear to have another dog.  No other dog will be Buddy.  But some other dog needs a loving home and will be special in his way.

It may not seem there is room in your heart, but believer me there is.  Dog lovers, especially those who have had a special dog have extra large hearts and there is always room in it.

Beautiful photos of a beautiful boy.  I remember him from a couple of the doodle romps I went to in LV.  Buddy stood out with that curly coat.  So sorry.
