We are pleased to announce that Peri and Taquito are getting a sibling...in late September/early October!!!
No, our breeder's waitlist is not THAT backed up....
It will be a HUMAN sibling! I am expecting a little one!!! I have been anxiously awaiting hitting my 12 week mark (tomorrow)..I am finally almost into my second trimester. I wanted all of my DK friends to know as soon as I felt comfortable blabbing the news!
We purchased a doppler to use at home so we could hear the heartbeat in between my ob visits...we tried it yesterday and Peri and Taquito sat there listening to that heartbeat (sounds like race horses!), just cocking their heads. Taquito wants to sit on my stomach while we use it...hilarious!
Thanks in advance for all the well wishes! I am feeling great (easy first trimester, no morning sickness, slightly fatigued) and looking forward to my nightly walk with the dogs!
Hope all is well with all of you!

Congrats Allyson :)
Not posting on FB yet...I still have friends to tell personally. Posting to DK probably 2-3 weeks before Facebook!
I was just thinking about you this morning!!!! So excited for all of you!!! Congratulations! Did you post here before FB??? I haven't seen a post yet. Did you have to share on DK before FB?
Congratulations, what a wonderful, exciting time for all of you.
So happy for your entire family!!!!! Rest, relax because the next 18 years or so - are going to be busy - lol!!
Congrats!! Now you have to spend time researching the best food, toys, groomer for your new little one. I wonder if there is a website called baby kisses? :)
Allyson, Congratulations. This will be a great time in your life :) Enjoy every minute of it!!!
That's great! Congratulations!!! I was picturing little Taquito on your belly! Cute! As a matter of fact, while I was pregnant, my 1st dog (little minature dachshund) wanted to always be lying on my belly. It was weird because she wasn't like that before. It's almost like they KNOW. Here's another memory I have (not as good): I remember my 1st night home from the hospital with my first baby. My son cried all night, so of course I cried all night. I remember I just kept thinking "What have I done?" I was looking at my poor little dog who looked totally confused and upset that the baby was crying. I actually felt guilty about sharing my attention instead of giving it all to the dog! That first night was the hardest, and then everything was fine after that. Keep us posted!
Great news, congratulations!
Thanks everyone! We are excited (well, maybe not the dogs, I hope they will like having the baby - I know Peri will - just not sure about Tacky!).
