AGILITY TRAINING – HURDLING OVER OUR OBSTACLES

It’s the 5th week, our 3rd class, and we’ve had 3 #secret, #remedial, #catchup sessions in between.

“By Doodle, I think he’s got it!”

Saturday’s class was distinct because:

1. It wasn’t raining – class was cancelled last week due to rain
2. It wasn’t hot as “purgatory” outside – unbearable temps of late
3. The other pupils didn’t show up so it was only Leo & the Doodle Whisperer - ”ruv” the one on one attention
   

As soon as we arrived, Leo, perched in his favorite chair, became mesmerized with the Saturday morning hustle and bustle in the Olde Towne Pet Resort lobby…

So much so, before he could shake his tail good, Harley jumped on the elevator heading upstairs to play and poor Leo never saw him leave. As soon as Gail saw his glum expression she came right over to reassure him that “things were gonna be alright.”  What a doodle, acting pupiful for some extra attention…

For those of you who’ve watched the videos from our previous assemblies, this picture will especially warm your heart: HE WENT THROUGH THE TIRE!…

Talk about an eruption of Doodle Mom excitement and glee. I shouted, clapped and hopped around in a circle like a lunatic.

Then I stopped abruptly! I thought I was losing my mind – I was hearing voices. I heard this echo “reverb” behind me and decided “it’s finally happening, I’ve officially gone crazy.” But when I heard the applause a second time I whirled around on my heels and low and behold, from the other side of the yard stood Leo’s very own cheering section…

…I just love those folks at OTPR!

Karen was beside herself with his new found confidence and ease on the course…

A special connection to animals is Karen’s gift. She is always talking to Leo, and I believe he understands her …

Agility training is a work out for the both of us. It’s fast, repetitive, instantly rewarding and over before you know it! For the rest of the morning, Leo spends a good portion of it like this…

While Mr. Harley waits for either “Renaldo” the Rabbit or me to entertain him…

Yay Leo, you did it and the tire wasn't so bad after all!  Cathy, I don't think I could even keep up with the class and all that running!  LOL   You rock!
