Dear Fudge & Vern, this is Rooney and boy do I have a bone to pick with you.  I have come to believe that your mom is a very bad influence on my mom.  It was bad enough that those two are taking a cruise while leaving us doods home - carousing about, having adventures and probably some frozen cocktails, but then your parents had to go get you a boat, and trust me - even though I HATE water, I was happy for you guys, cute pictures, happy blogs, yadda yadda.  Well now my parents are getting a boat and I am blaming it on your mom!  That's right - my mom & dad jumped on the boat bandwagon without even taking into serious consideration MY feelings because I would have voted NO.  My younger, much larger - water LOVING (and less intelligent) brother is all excited!  So my parents have been very distracted this past week, taking us to daycare while they are running all over two states to find the perfect boat - it is coming this Friday and my mom the safety nut has already gotten us the dreaded doggy life vests.  I'm not going to get on that boat willingly and there is no way I'm getting into any water - I'm a dood whose hair doesn't do well when wet.  I heard my mom saying that she was going to be asking your mom some doggie boating advise - apparently she doesn't want nail scratches on the upholstery or us Stuart leaping out of the boat while underway (this might be my chance to give big 'ol Stuart a little nudge).  Can I ask - is there anything else your parents are about to do?  Skydiving, motorcycles with you guys in the side cars because I'm about to start chewing on my mom's computer if there is.

Poor Rooney - we fell for you! We love the water but those things that drive on the water that makes so much noise? I don't think so!!

We were a friends house this weekend who live on a huge lake. Lucky for us their huse has a little cove that we can swim in safe from all the boats whizzing by! Our ball kept going under the boat which we thought was fun playing our favorite game 'find it' but Mom kept screaming at us not to go under that thing or under the dock - whatever that is. Wonder if she thought that we couldn't hear her or we forgot to turn our ears on - she always asks when we don't pay attention if we turned our ears on today?

Rooney - if you don't want to go on a boating vacation you are more then welcome to come out on dry land with us.

Oh Rooney! So sorry you are going to have to endure this humiliation. I do think the rest of your family is going to have the time of their lives. Maybe you will get extra treats when you have to go boating. I hope so... something to soothe that worried soul of yours. lots of love buddy.
