I thought the title might get your attention!  Don't worry....

So I always walk the dogs during the middle of the day - we still live in the condo and there is a "greenway" (wonderful pedestrian walkway) that goes around the golf course - part of it is by a busy two-lane road.  Last week, we were walking and this big van that said "Animal Control" :( :( passed by and slowed down.  The driver rolled down the window and smiled and said "your dogs are just adorable, can I take them?".  He was joking and I just laughed and said "no, I think I will keep them".  He then asked their breed, etc...and drove on.

Fast forward to the next day, we were doing mortgage stuff (oh so fun) at the bank and come out - guess who is parked next to me and DH?  Animal Control - same man!  And he passed us walking again, slowed, smiled and waved!  Are they stalking me? Do they want my dogs?  Just kidding, I think we are okay!  But I don't think they will be left off leash anytime soon!

I love our animal control guy, No seriously I have a little crush on him, I met him after Jack was attacked by another dog in our neighborhood, he was so good looking... I am glad the dog that attacked Jack is gone but it was really nice dealing with him.. He is just so cute. and He loved Jack.......Jack liked him too!!!

Well Peri and Taquito do make an unusual pair. And they are both so cute and well-cared for looking. I am sure AC would love to take them - home with him.

On the up side, if for any reason they disappear from your sight, you will have powerful help in getting them back.

Ask your AC buddy to get out of his truck and meet them. Could be nice therapy for him.

So are you in the heart of Nashville or in the burbs?  If you live in a small town then animal control probably knows all the dogs and where they live.  We are not that lucky here.  I am petrified of AC because I do let Gracie walk around without a leash.  Only on our street and the place I take her in the afternoon which is "on leash" but I and many others do it off and we are far away from the road and right along the water.  I figure AC is too lazy to do anything other than cruise the parking lots looking for dogs on the grass.  They would have to park their cars and hike in to find us.  Also, being city employees I figure they are heading back to the barn by 5:00ish and not still out looking for dogs!  I take my chances.  But...our community is too large to get on a friendly basis with the AC person.  It could come in very handy for you like the others said!
