Well, I had to do it. I had to shave her down to nothing. I'm hoping this was from losing her puppy coat, and won't happen again! Abby is absolutely loving this new look - she is full of zoomies, and is happy as a little lark, and I just have to laugh. She is so sweet, and was so patient with me while I was doing all this. My hubby is hunting this week and will be home Sunday - he is going to totally flip when he sees his girl! She went from calendar girl one day to this the next day!! LOLOL I just keep telling myself... it will grow back... it will grow back... it will grow back...

Right now she is so soft and feels exactly like crushed velvet when you pet her. So cuddly!!

Thanx all for your nice comments - she is finally feeling like our dog again. It takes some getting used to, for sure. LOLOLOL Her head was a challenge - cutting it short enough so she didn't look like a bobblehead - but still long enough that she looks like a doodle. I'm hoping that the puppy hair is gone and the matting will never be that bad again!! Is that wishful thinking??

Abby looks very cute! I know it breaks your heart- it did mine! It takes a good 4 months to start getting a good "fluff" back. I had to do this before the summer. Now Tucker looks like a polar bear again. The groomer said the worst thing that causes the mats is bathing. I comb and comb with the cowboy majic at least 4 times a week and try to do less bathing.

She is still beautiful=) Her head looks great yet!! Nice job! Just think I took Murphy and Emmet to the groomer this summer, told her I wanted them a LITTLE shorter for the summer! They both came out looking like Abby, boy was I shocked.......Murphy looked funny to me, Emmet looked really cute=)

I have to say I've seen lots of pictures on here of shaved down dogs, and you did a great job! I honestly think she looks cute. (would I like her a little fluffier, yes) but to be shaved ..... she is adorable! Face Head and Ears are perfect to the rest of her body!
