Last night I bought Ellie a baby gate so I could gate her off in my kitchen. I don't know if it was that I wasn't paying attention to her and trying to set-up the gate but she bit me so hard on my foot that I have a cut. Then she continued to bark and nip at my pants. Needless to say I wasn't too happy.

This morning she woke up and we played for a little bit before I started getting ready for work. I put her pet taxi - which she sleeps in - in the kitchen w/ the door open and stuck her bed and pee pee pad and gated her off. Ohhh boy was she not happy! She must have yelped, barked, cried, and whined for 15-20 minutes while I tried to ignore her. I couldn't take it and I thought my neighbors would come over and start complaining. So the resolution was stick Ellie back in her pet taxi in the living room and come back home for lunch. Sooner or later she'll learn that she can't fit in her pet taxi. I hope that day comes soon.

Oh no! That is what I had to do with Peri - I have to go home during lunch. But you will probably still get use out of the baby gate while you are at home (if your place is big enough to want to contain her to a certain area). Also, in a few months when I feel comfortable with Peri's training, I plan to leave her gated off in the office area/dog room. We will get to that point at some point I hope :) How is Ellie doing at night now?
