Brady is such a bundle of doodle joy - I thought I'd just write a little about him while he's still a real puppy! This little guy (as our Vet fondly calls 'Brady Bum' - couldn't be any nicer or more adorable! Since day l he has been so, so wonderful at night (never a peep out of him). He sleeps all night (sometimes in bed with me) but usually on the floor. He has just graduated to the actual floor from his soft bed which he likes to have a tossle with right before lying down.
He has been slow to house train (compared to any other pups I've had) and is pretty much good to go outside but I can't trust he'll ask to go all the time. He will 'ring' his bell often - I can't believe he has learned to to this!!
Brady is a puppy school drop-out (thanks to his Mama) - instructor wasn't 'our' cup of tea. Thinking of joining up at another school soon. Brady has had lots of good socialization - across the street at the park and also at the cottage with our friends' 9 mos doodle Charlie-Bear for two days (went very well), then for 4 days a German Shepherd, Moose, which also went very well. He shared his food, water, toys, and was also off leash during the day with the other dogs.
I gave Brady his first grooming - scissor cut him as I was worried a professional might not know what to do with his fine, silky, crimpy puppy fur. He was pretty good but not keen on the leg part - so he now has a fairly 'choppy' mop look with his legs uneven because I take a snip here and there whenever I can. LOL!
At 4 moths Brady and I drove to Montreal (2 hours). The little goose sat (lay) the entire trip in his soft bed on the passenger seat. Got up a few times with interest in my lap and after hearing 'get in your chair', did just that - I was amazed and so very impressed. Ditto all the way home!!! Yay - Brady!!!!! I'm just a 'little' doodly these days...and hoping this little guy doesn't get too much bigger - I love him to be on my lap or in my arms!! He's 15 lbs. now at almost 5 mos.
He has just discovered his voice in the last few weeks. Not often but will sometimes bark if someone walks by our fence, or just randomly at some people while out for a walk! I say 'quiet' - good quiet! Brady also has started to dig big, deep holes in the garden soil and plunk himself in. Hopefully this will be be short-lived as much other undesirable behaviour has been. He has not chewed any thing other than his toys (thank goodness) but at the end of a walk loves to grab and chew his leash.
