Bye Bye Bentley!

Today, Bentley the Foster Schnoodle's new forever family came and picked him up. His new mom had such an instant connection to him (and vice versa) that I felt like it was a reunion instead of an introduction. The thing is that Bentley NEVER looked as cute in photos as he is in person. His new mom, dad, and college-aged sister were overwhelemed by his adorableness! The parents are retirees who will have lots and lots of time to walk Bentley and teach him to be a good schnoodle citizen. They currently have two standard poodles and are very excited to get to know this new mix. Their dogs are somewhat senior, so I can't wait to hear what they think about their new baby brother! Bentley (they are keeping his name as is - good pick Nina!!) will be living just over the GA line in South Carolina, so hopefully we'll talk them into attending a doodle romp!

Thanks to the DRC for rescuing this sweet boy and giving me and Callie the opportunity to foster him! We enjoyed him very much. I'm attaching a cute little picture of Bentley in morning snuggle mode. He has a wonderful nose!!

Oh boy! Do I miss that face! Frannie thanks so much for fostering Bentley. I have to admit we (DH, DD & I) almost didn't want to let him go. I am so glad he has 2 & 4 footed sibs to play with. Amazing that Bentley's forever family is just across the GA/SC line. As you know poor B languished in the Augusta (on the GA side of GA/SC line) shelter for over a month when DRC rescued him. Thanks to DRC and Petfinder.com he was in foster care for less than a month. BTW, DD gets credit for the name.
