Can someone PLEASE invent a toilet paper that tastes bad to dogs?

This is getting ridiculous. I am going to go broke buying TP. Why is it so appealing? Is it really that fun? Apparently..... Rose (our 5 month old GD) has ripped at least one role apart every day for the last four days. I ALWAYS close the bathroom doors. She has now learned to open them. I ALWAYS keep it put up. Yesterday the kids left it on the counter. Her newest trick is taking it OFF THE HOLDER! No joke, she pulls on it with her mouth until it pops off and then has a great time shredding it to pieces. I'd spray it with bitter apple, but ewww...it's toilet paper and will need to be used. My next step is to put a hook & eye latch on the outside of the bathroom door!

One day Harley got the last roll and ran around the whole house - no toliet paper left. Black dog, white toliet paper - had to laugh. I was leaving for work anyway. My friend had to buy one of those toilet paper stands and keeps it in her bathtub with the shower door closed. Can you imagine when guest come to her house? LOL

LOL Kim, I kind of understand the used Puffs. They have a part of "you" in them. :o) I'm sure that doesn't make it any less annoying though.

Our issue is USED tissues (Puff's with lotion) from the garbage can!!! Seriously. She is like a bomb sniffing dog - but a Puffs Plus with Lotion sniffing dog. She can snif them out from anywhere!!!! It's crazy.

Awww, but she's so CUTE!!!! Bitter apple sounds like a good idea...if you have a place out of her reach where you can keep the usable roll. I imagine that would stop her in her tracks. Good luck!

Mine never did this. Is there something you can put on the door handle that will scare her away?

Oh ya, it's a phase, like the socks she use to swallow whole... I guess I'll take TP eating over that! My guess is that within a week, she'll move on. The question is, to what??? :o)
