Chili the cat is smart!

My neighbour's cat (Chili) has been visiting us daily for about 3 years now. Before Yankee, he had the run of the place, napping, snacking etc. When Yankee arrived, Chili decided to make friends with him so he wouldn't lose all the perks of his second home. When it rains or is too cold, he comes here. He has slept here many times overnight. My first picture shows Chili making friends with Yankee. He would come and eat Yankee's food all the time.

Now along comes Finnegan to join our household. Chili comes to visit and sees that there are now two bowls of dog food and realizes that this isn't such a bad thing. Smart cat decides to make friends with Finn too. That's the second picture. That Chili is one smart cat!

I wish Harlow and Cleo Kitty would get along. Cleo totally dominates the 2 beagles who raised her from kittenhood, but she wants nothing to do with Harlow. Harlow thinks Cleo wants to play and gets too bouncy around her. Amazing thing though, Harlow is very quiet and gentle around our 15 yr old cat Moonshine.

I so wish Penny and our 3 kitties could have the same relationship, Penny is way too in their faces for such closeness. See photo of Penny trying, but being too giddy! Just makes Abby eventually hiss at her!
