Alert the North Pole! I think all those pictures of cute dogs wearing deer antlers and Santa hats you may receive this year are fake.
In one way, I'm glad to hear this. Seriously, do you really think two dogs that also just happen to be puppies AND labradoodles would actually sit still this long while wearing these on their heads?
On the other hand, I just want to be certain that Santa Claus knows these two, and all the other dogs who are donning these in those oh-so-presh-presh Christmas cards this season are posers. At least their owners are making them posers without their permission.
Lily, and her friend, Scout, look pretty adorable here. The picture was so cute to begin with -- even their heads are tilted slightly in the same direction. Getting this shot was difficult enough. The dogs appear so sweet and still, but trust me, they weren't. If only there had been an option to tilt the reindeer antlers so they looked more natural on their heads, potentially even Santa could have been duped. Except for the nagging minor detail that the antlers "grow" out of the top of the photo. Note to self: next year take pictures with dog's heads down lower in the frame.
Granted, I'm behind the learning curve. It turns out pet owners don't even have to know Photoshop to get their jollys this holiday season. Anyone can do this -- even me, the other night sometime after 11 when I was bored out of my head.
I first came across "pikipimp" here at Doodle Kisses on several member pages. The website,
pikipimp.com, was a little confusing. They're selling something that I'm sure is very desirable to the more sophisticated. But this free option, to "pimp" your own uploaded photo is available right on their homepage.
