Christmas Present from the In-Laws!

I just had to share this present I received this weekend from my in-laws!  It is a handmade garden stone featuring the love of my life... my Doodle!

 

Isn't it awesome!!!  All you do is send in the picture you want done of your pet and she makes them out of recycled tiles!  I'm in love with it!

 

This is the picture we gave her.  Pretty good huh!

Very awesome present!  My MIL refuses to acknowledge Rua as a granddaughter. But, I know she'll come around.  I got her a mug from Cafe Press...."My Grandchild is a Golden Doodle", made her a "Rua 2011 Calendar, and framed a picture of Rua to give her.  It won't be long before she'll be referring to herself as "Gramma"!!!!  I just might have to get a stepping stone of Rua myself!!!

Nancie, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. My dad passed away last year and he went through a brief period of demenia due to his surgery. It was extremely upsetting. I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers.

Yes, I don't have one to trade.  Both MIL, FIL, and father have passed.  I still have a mother but she has dementia and it is the kind that makes her mean, nasty, rude and hateful!  Plus she is in a wheelchair and has to have a Hoyer lift to get her in and out of bed and chairs.  We have help at her house for her but all she does is scream and yell and threaten everyone!  No beautiful stepping stone for me!!!  I am in charge of her trust...maybe I will order myself a nice Christmas present since she can't say "thank you" or "I appreciate all you do for me!"  lol
