My name is Comiskey and I am a compulsive hoarder.

It all began when I got my first stuffed toy at the age of 8 weeks. It was love at first sight and once I dismembered it into little pieces I found it to be a treasure. Each little bit became a “chewy”. You know the little bits that you can chew like gum and spit out when you are done. Well I began to save them…then it was on to other de-stuffed toys….plastic water bottles (they make great noise) and it finally escalated to socks and shredded tug toys.

It all got to be to much for my parents so they got me this big cardboard box and once my brother (Beemer) and I chewed the door off…it became a haven for my hoarding. I suspect that some of my items end up in the trash (I guess that is called an intervention) and some end up in the washer…because they begin to smell real good…but all in all I don’t believe that I have a problem….see what you think……

Comiskey looks like he should have all that stuff in a shopping cart that he's pushing around the streets of downtown Chicago, muttering to himself about the coming of the end of the world :) That is just too cute, I can't get over how he hoards his stash of goodies. I thought my Jack Russell Terrier was goofy for hoarding toys under our bed....now I can see how out of hand it could get if I don't intervene :)

Great post - like the picture and the writing is so funny. I'm a psychologist. I work with a lot of hoarding cases, so let me know if it gets bad enough you need help. Keep your sense of humor about these things - it's a good coping mechanism!

After living with a hoarder as a child and now having a child who is a hoarder I must say--Thank Goodness this is NOT my doodle. I promise never to complain about stepping on toys at night again.

What a sweetie.

Maybe you can find a psychologist on this site? I'm laughing to hard here. Ann ( you read my mind ) he picks up his toys.
